Vanuatu’s cricketing talents continue to make their mark on the international stage, with players excelling in Australia across both Melbourne (player placement) and Stanthorpe (in partnership with iComply) last Saturday.

In Stanthorpe, where players are balancing seasonal work with high-level cricket, Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu Men's players Obed Yosef and Rival Samson showcased their skills. Obed Yosef dominated with the ball, taking 4 wickets for just 22 runs in his 10-over spell, including 2 maidens, at an exceptional economy rate of 2.20. Rival Samson made a significant impact with the bat, scoring 53 off 47 balls (7x4, 0x6, SR: 112.76) with a commanding batting display. Additionally, Stanthorpe’s representative team, featuring Vanuatu's talent, celebrated victory in the cricket representative grand final against neighbouring town Warwick, proudly lifting the Mitchell Shield.

Meanwhile, in Melbourne, where players are on placement programs designed to enhance their development, Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu Women's player Rachel Andrew delivered a stellar performance with the bat, scoring 62 runs off 69 balls (7x4, 0x6, SR: 89.85), showcasing her skill and resilience.
