The Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA) continues to invest in the growth and development of its team, with four staff members successfully completing training courses at the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) last week.
In an effort to upskill both staff and players, the VCA partnered with APTC to provide training opportunities that enhance expertise across different operational areas. Three groundstaff participated in a four-day course covering the basics of construction and resilient roofing, equipping them with essential skills to improve and maintain cricket facilities. Additionally, one administrative officer undertook a customer service course aimed at strengthening the VCA’s engagement with stakeholders and the wider cricket community.
VCA Operations Manager, Jamal Vira emphasised the importance of professional development, stating, "Investing in our people is crucial for the future of Vanuatu Cricket. By equipping our staff with new skills, we are not only improving our operations but also creating pathways for personal and professional growth."
This initiative marks the beginning of VCA’s broader commitment to capacity building, ensuring that cricket in Vanuatu continues to develop both on and off the field.
