Vanuatu’s Rachel Andrew continues to stamp her authority with the bat while on player placement in Melbourne, delivering yet another match-winning knock for Essendon Maribyrnong Park 2nds in the Kookaburra Women’s Premier Seconds competition.

Facing Box Hill 2nds over the weekend, Andrew anchored the chase with an unbeaten 67 off 48 balls*, smashing 12 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 139.58. Her dominant innings proved decisive, as she steered her team to victory while chasing 101 runs—another testament to her class and consistency at the crease.

Meanwhile, in Stanthorpe, fellow Vanuatu cricketer Nasimana Navaika made her mark with the ball for Souths Cricket Club, claiming 3 wickets to help bowl out Valley CC for just 55 runs. Her efforts played a key role in securing a commanding 95-run victory, further showcasing the impact of Vanuatu’s top cricketing talents abroad.

Andrew’s continued brilliance with the bat and Navaika’s bowling dominance highlight the strength of Vanuatu’s cricketing exports, proving that they are not just competing—but excelling—on the international stage.
